The ones we are asked first
Do we have to start our records from scratch?
No. Bring the student list you already keep — a spreadsheet is fine — and import it. Your fee figures stay your fee figures; SCHOOLCORD organises them rather than deciding them.
Can the bursar change what a class costs?
No. A bursar records payments against the fee structure and cannot edit it; a principal runs their own campus and can read the fees but not change them; the proprietor sees and sets everything. The role decides, not the job title.
What happens when fees change mid-year?
Edit the line item and every student in that class is repriced immediately. The total is always the sum of the lines and is never stored separately, so there is no second figure left behind to go stale.
We have two campuses. Is that two accounts?
One. Add each campus under Branches and the proprietor sees them side by side, with their own classes, terms and totals. Staff at one campus see only that campus.
Do parents need to install anything?
No. Reminders go to the phone number on the child’s record as an ordinary message. There is nothing for a parent to sign up for or remember a password to.
How long does setting up actually take?
An afternoon for most schools, and you do not have to do it in one sitting. Classes go in as a whole ladder at once, fees are set per class, and the student import does the longest part for you.
